Lujan was really efficient, helpful and nice. She chose a good friendly hotel, in a quiet and residential part of Buenos Aires, good eating places around, and the trip to Salta was wonderful, all went like clockwork.
We were met from the airport when required, the guides were good, hotels more than adequate. Although we didn't need English speakers, they were there and did everything possible to make us feel at home.
What was good about our local partner based in Argentina and Chile?
Lujan was first class, efficient and friendly. She even sorted a small problem about pick-ups from hotels on the minibus in Salta.
What did you think about the guides or drivers on your trip?
One particular guide in Salta was extremely good, Pablo. I understand he was freelance. His English and his knowledge of the area was superb, and he was a very good driver.
What advice would you give to other travellers planning a trip to Argentina?
Buenos Aires is of course well known. The meal at the tango dinner was disappointing, but the dance superb. We went to Salta, a province north of the capital. It has the most gorgeous scenery, Grand Canyon eat your heart out. It can get too hot in mid-summer, so worth going end of summer or spring.
What was the most memorable part of your trip?
Purnamarca in Jujuy. Wonderful alpaca knitteds to buy in artisan markets.
