Day 1: Welcome to Bordeaux!
Welcome to France! Arrive in Bordeaux, pick up your rental car, and transfer to your accommodation. From there, head out to explore some of the must-see spots, such as the Place de la Bourse and Chartrons district, soaking up the city’s World Heritage-listed historic center.
Before retiring to your accommodation for the night, you'll get to admire the city from another angle during a Garonne river cruise; choose between a dinner cruise and a wine tasting cruise for a first taste of the region’s specialties.

Day 2: Wine & classic sightseeing in Bordeaux
Today you'll embark on a private guided city tour followed by a wine tasting session in a chateau - two wonderful ways to make the most of your time in this historic city. Iconic sights on today's itinerary include the Cathédrale Saint-André de Bordeaux and the Pey Berland Tower, atop of which you'll be rewarded with sprawling city views. Then, wine lovers could opt to take a guided tour of the Cité du Vin, Bordeaux's famous wine museum.

Day 3: Combine wine & history in Saint-Emilion
Good morning! Today, pack your bags and drive to Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its sprawling vineyards. Tour the medieval village, including the Monolithic Church and underground catacombs, then enjoy a wine tasting session at a local vineyard - a perfect way to soak up the rich regional flavors and learn about local production processes.
Once you've had your fill, head back to your car and continue on to Sarlat-la-Canéda, checking into your accommodation in this charming medieval town upon arrival.

Day 4: The age-old charms of Sarlat
Today, you'll get to explore the gems of small yet mighty Sarlat. Begin in the historic old town, with its well-preserved medieval architecture, then continue on to the Saint-Sacerdos Cathedral and Place de la Liberté. Experience the bustling local market, famous for its truffles, foie gras, and other regional specialties - pick some up to taste, if you're in the mood for a treat!
Optionally, if you're feeling energetic, you could head out on a kayaking or cycling experience. Finally, kick back for the evening at a local bistro, savoring traditional Périgord dishes before retiring to your accommodation for the night.

Day 5: A day of ancient cave explorations
A program of incredible sightseeing awaits today, steeped in history and fascination. You’ll first visit the Cro-Magnon rock shelter, one of the most ancient burial sites of the modern man. You'll then continue on to the Font-de-Gaume cave, one of the most beautiful Paleolithic sites in the world and one of the few open for public viewing. Finally, visit the Lascaux Cave, famous for prehistoric cave paintings, before returning to Sarlat to relax and enjoy an overnight stay.

Sarlat - Cahors
Day 6: Journey to Cahors via Rocamadour
Today you'll depart Sarlat, driving on to Cahors with a stop at the charming village of Rocamadour en-route. Take some time to explore the latter's cliffside sanctuary and medieval streets, followed by a visit to the famous Pont Valentré, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 14th century. Lastly, slow your pace again to enjoy a wine tasting session at a local vineyard, focusing on the town's Malbec wines. You'll then have the rest of the evening to unwind at your own pace, immersing yourself in the town's many charms.

Day 7: A day at leisure in Cahors
Spend the day at your leisure in Cahors, with a selection of optional excursions to help you make the most of your time here. You could explore the old town and local market, take a guided tour of the Secret Gardens of Cahors, visit the medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, or venture into the depths of Pech Merle's prehistoric cave.
Afterwards, enjoy an evening walk along the river Lot, followed by dinner at a riverside restaurant and an overnight stay in Cahors.

Cahors - Toulouse
Day 8: Welcome to Toulouse, France's Pink City
Depart Cahors and drive to Toulouse, France's much-loved Pink City. There, check into your hotel and take a moment to relax after your travels. You'll then set out to explore your surroundings: visit the Basilica of Saint-Sernin, one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe, and stroll through the Capitole de Toulouse, taking in its square, shops and cafés. You'll have the rest of the day to unwind at your own pace, before an overnight stay in Toulouse.

Day 9: One last day in Toulouse
Take the day to make the most of your time in this unique and ever-thriving city. Wander through the historic and trendy district of Carmes, filled with boutiques and old-world charm. Stroll serenely along the banks of the Garonne river, then sit down for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, savoring regional specialties like cassoulet. Overnight in Toulouse.

Day 10: Au revoir, France
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, and if time allows, be sure to enjoy any last-minute sightseeing and shopping in Toulouse. Then, at a suitable time, you'll drive to the airport or train station and drop off your rental car ahead of your departure. Safe travels!
