Day 1: Arrival in Caribbean Cartagena
Arrival in Cartagena de Indias, the undisputed queen of the Caribbean coast. This is a city of romance, legend and beauty lying within an impressive 13 kilometres of centuries-old colonial stone walls. Cartagena's old town is a Unesco World Heritage Site with a maze of cobbled alleys, bougainvillaea-covered balconies and imposing churches that cast their shadows across the plazas. Transfer to your hotel in the historical centre, relax and settle in.

Day 2: Cartagena city tour & rum tasting
After breakfast, you'll visit the historic centre and main sights of Cartagena on a half-day tour. With your guide, take a walk through the past and present of Cartagena visiting the most beautiful monuments of the city. In the afternoon, we’ll meet in a small bar in the characterful Getsemani district for a rum tasting. Rum is the drink of choice for many Colombians. You will have the opportunity to taste several different bottles, some of which are marketed only in certain parts of the country. This is an original way to discover the history of Colombian Rum and perhaps find your new favourite.

Day 3: Cooking class & city views
Cartagena is a place where the Caribbean magic is felt in the freshness and flavour of its gastronomy. Today, you will learn step-by-step how to make delicious ceviche accompanied by plantain crisps. Get stuck into an hour-long cooking class and then sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labour. The afternoon is dedicated to visiting some more of the main historic and cultural sites around Cartagena, including the Convent of the Popa. Perched on a hill with lovely views of the bay, this monastery houses a beautiful patio, a colonial museum and a chapel dedicated to the Virgen de la Candelaria. Enjoy more panoramic views from the Castle of San Felipe Barajas at the fortified gates of the colonial city.

Day 4: Caribbean beach bliss
Today transfer from your hotel to the port of Cartagena and depart by boat for the Archipelago of San Bernardo. This set of coastal coral islands located in the Caribbean Sea is part of the National Corals Natural Park. After around two hours you will reach your destination of Mucura Island. Here you will be welcomed at your accommodation and the rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the island and its lovely beaches.

Day 5: Full day at the beach
Spend a full day of relaxation in the San Bernardo Archipelago. In this heavenly place, you could take a scenic boat tour, go hiking or diving, or simply kick back and enjoy the beach.
Cartagena
Day 6: Onward journey
After breakfast and depending on the time of your onward flight, you’ll begin your journey back to Cartagena. The transfer will be by boat and then by car to the airport.
