Day 1: Welcome to Colombia!
Your Colombian adventure begins in the enchanting city of Cartagena de Indias. Nestling on the Caribbean coastline, this city is often described as the 'queen of the coast'.
After arrival at the airport and a transfer to your hotel, it’s time to explore! Today you're at liberty to wander along the cobbled streets, admire balconies adorned with vibrant flowers and be awed by imposing centuries-old stone walls that guard Cartagena's heart.
As you explore the historic old town, you'll be immersed in its rich history and vibrant culture.

Day 2: Charming Cartagena
Start your day in Cartagena with a journey into its rich history and vibrant culture. The Convent of the Popa, perched high on a hill overlooking the bay, is your first stop. Explore its beautiful patio, colonial museum and chapel devoted to the Virgen de la Candelaria. The panoramic view from the Castle of San Felipe Barajas, a colossal Spanish army fortress, offers breathtaking views of the city.
In the afternoon, it's time to embark on a guided walking tour through the Walled City. You'll get to know picturesque areas like San Diego, Plaza Santo Domingo and Getsemani, each brimming with historical significance. As you wander these charming streets, you'll uncover the heart of Cartagena's cultural tapestry.
The rest of the evening is yours to relax or explore the city further.
Cartagena - Los Naranjos
Day 3: Towards Tayrona
This morning, you'll leave Cartagena after breakfast and head to the Tayrona Region, a drive of around five hours.
After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of lush jungle, beautiful beaches and the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Day 4: Tropical trekking
Today is your chance to immerse yourself in the wonders of Tayrona Park, a jungle paradise next to sandy Caribbean shores.
Your day will be a rhythm of adventure and relaxation, offering a blend of striking landscapes and tranquil beaches. Take a hike through the heart of the tropical forest and behold the breathtaking views at every turn.
After lunch, spend some well-earned time relaxing on the picture-perfect beach and swimming in the turquoise waters.
Los Naranjos - Taironaka - Minca
Day 5: Tayrona's treasures
Today, you'll embark on a journey into the mystical past of the Sierra Nevada in a journey to Tayronaka, the fabled lost city of the Tayrona indigenous people.
The city featured in the film The Mission with Robert de Niro, and holds secrets and stories you'll uncover with your guide, connecting with an ancient civilisation.
In the afternoon, glide down the Don Diego River in a rubber ring: look up and you may spot howler monkeys and a variety of beautiful birds.
After lunch, hop aboard a lancha, a small boat, for a leisurely river journey ending at the ocean. Here you’ll spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach and soaking in the sun!
Tonight, you'll stay in your next hotel, a short transfer away.
Minca
Day 6: Hidden waterfalls
Kickstart your day with a journey to Minca, a charming retreat just 20 km south of Santa Marta.
Venture out on an invigorating hike to the stunning Marinka waterfalls, a hidden gem more secluded than the famous Pozo Azul. Immerse yourself in the beauty of these natural wonders.
After a delicious lunch, step into the energising world of Colombian coffee with a visit to the historic La Victoria coffee plantation. Established in 1892 by an adventurous British couple, it's one of the oldest fincas in northern Colombia. This sprawling estate spans 550 hectares, with 120 dedicated to coffee cultivation and the rest preserved as a natural reserve. Uncover the rich tales of coffee in this picturesque setting.
The rest of the evening is free for you to relax and reflect on the day's activities and your time in Colombia.
