Day 1: Welcome to Colombia!

Welcome to Bogota! 

You will be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. Relax in the car service during your drive to your hotel. On the way to your hotel, your English-speaking guide will give you all the recommendations you need to get the most out of your stay in Colombia.

Day 2: Explore Historic Bogota

Early in the morning, enjoy a visit to the typical Paloquemao market in the city center. Be amazed by the variety of colors and tastes you will find there. Try a wide variety of tropical fruits that you will hardly find anywhere else in the world.

Later, visit the historic center, take a look at the Colon Theater, San Carlos Palace, San Ignacio Church, Nariño Presidential Palace, Bolivar Square, the Capitol, the City Hall, and the Cathedral. You can also visit the Gold Museum. Finally, enjoy a cable car ride to Monserrate hill. 

Later, transfer to the town of Zipaquira located 49 kilometers from Bogotá. On the way, enjoy a view of the Sabana countryside and El Puente del Comun. Upon arrival, you will have preferential entrance to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira. It is considered to be a wonder of Colombia. Go on a city tour around the colonial town of Zipaquira before returning to Bogotá.

Day 3: Learn How Coffee is Made at Hacienda San Alberto

You will be picked at the airport by a prepared shuttle service and taken to your hotel. 

On arrival, you will head out to the municipality of Buenavista and take a tour around Hacienda San Alberto to learn about the fascinating world of coffee growing. The Hacienda has the most extraordinary view, where you will be able to appreciate the mesmerizing beauty of the coffee plantations in the mountains in the south of el Quindio.

In addition, you will not only be taught the process of coffee step-by-step, but also will be taken for a tasting of high-quality coffee served internationally in countries like Russia, South Korea, and Belgium. Enjoy!

Travel to the Lovely Cocora Valley

Day 4: Travel to the Lovely Cocora Valley

Travel today to the Cócora Valley while appreciating the beautiful landscape of the place. Once at the Valley, you will be welcomed with a typical drink called Canelazo. An eco guide specializing in the Cócora Valley will make an introduction to the natural reservoir.

Go on a walking tour through the mist, enjoy the flora and fauna, and take the ecological path to the tallest palm tree in the world and Colombia`s national tree insignia. Then, experience the Quindio Palm tree ritual, which consists of learning the history of how the indigenous tribes adored this plant, followed by the sowing of the palm.

You can enjoy optional activities like horse rides or ecological walks. Later, travel to the town of Salento where you'll have a walking tour through the colonial streets, craft workshops, and the Cócora outlook.

Pereira - Medellin

Day 5: Go to Beautiful Medellin

You will be picked up at your hotel and you will be transferred to Medellin. Relax in your car!

Start the tour along the river avenue. You will arrive at the city center where you will visit the Plaza San Antonio, Botero Square, and the entrance to the Museum of Antioquia. Make your way to the metro station where you will go on a panoramic tour. Climb up to the commune of Santo Domingo, where you will go on a cultural interpretation tour reaching the viewpoint of the city.

Return to the University Station from where you will have assistance by your driver to transfer to Pueblito Paisa. Here, you will have a tour with a gastronomic tasting experience. Transfer to the pink zone of the El Poblado sector and visit Lleras Park as well!

Medellin - El Peñol - Guatape

Day 6: See the Sights of Medellin and Guatape

Today's tour starts from the city of Medellín, going through the municipality of Peñol until reaching Guatapé. You can enjoy the view of the reservoir that provides 30 percent of Colombia's energy.

You have the option to practice water sports, which are not included in the tour. Visit the Rock of Guatapé which is approximately 220 meters high, and you can climb 649 ladders until you reach the viewpoint, from where you will enjoy a 360-degree view of the Guatapé reservoir and its neighboring lands.

Inside the municipality of Guatapé, you will have a tour through the streets, where a specialized guide will inform you about the history of typical houses and the culture.

Day 7: Travel to Cartagena Today

You will be picked up at the airport by a prepared shuttle service and taken to your hotel. 

Today, go on a private vehicle tour! The tour includes a visit to San Felipe de Barajas Fort, the largest Spanish military building in the new world, originally built in 1536 and expanded in 1657.

Then transfer to The walled city where you can go on a walk through the main streets, squares, and churches including the entrance to the palace of the Inquisition and Church of San Pedro Claver.

Day 8: Spend Time in the Stunning Rosario Islands

The Natural Park of Islas del Rosario is an archipelago made up of 27 islands, located 45 minutes from Cartagena.

The Hotel San Pedro de Majagua is located on Isla Grande and owes its name to Pierre Daguet, a French painter who in 1955 created his house and studio there.

You will spend a day here exploring the beautiful region!

Today, you will immerse yourself in the Gabriel Garcia Marquez literary menu. You will become another character of his wonderful stories by tasting the dishes that Gabo served in his tales.

It is a journey of 3 hours and 6 flavors extracted from the passages of his books, which allows you to taste the history behind the traditional Colombian Caribbean cuisine. 

This journey ends with dinner and a cocktail.

Day 10: Welcome to the Tayrona Region

You will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the Tayrona National Park.

At noon, enjoy lunch at the restaurant of the Tayrona National Natural Park. In the afternoon, you will experience a relaxing time at the Tayrona Park Spa.
