Detailed Itinerary

La Paz
Day 1: Welcome to Bolivia!
Welcome to La Paz! Upon your arrival, your driver will pick you up at El Alto International Airport for a transfer to your hotel, where you'll check in and settle down.
Today, enjoy a free day in La Paz. You could stroll around the historical center, do some shopping for local handicrafts along Sagarnaga Street, learn how to make offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth) at the Witches Market, or tour one of the city's many museums. For soaring vistas and an unforgettable first day in the city, why not take a cable car ride?

Day 2: Journey to the Bolivian Amazon
Your driver will pick you up at the hotel for a transfer to the airport, where you'll board a domestic flight bound for Rurrenabaque. It's time to explore the Bolivian Amazon!
At the airport in Rurrenabaque, you'll be picked up for a transfer to Santa Rosa and the Yacuma Pampas - immense marshy expanses also known as the Beni savannas. The journey begins on a track, which you'll follow for around two hours. During this time, keep your eyes peeled for numerous species of birds, capybaras - the world's largest rodents - and even sloths.
Then, board a motorboat and sail along the Beni and Tuichi rivers to your eco-lodge, where you'll check in and make yourself comfortable for the evening.

Day 3: The natural riches of Madidi National Park
Wake up early at 5am, for a chance to hear the sounds of howler monkeys and many bird species as they announce the start of a new day. Then, after breakfast, take a short excursion through the woods and lagoons around your lodge. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the mighty anaconda!
Return to Rurrenabaque via Santa Rosa, and board a motorboat up the Beni River. The scenery is grandiose, and the ride offers glimpses of the Andean mountains that divide the Altiplano from the Amazon. Pass through the Bala Canyon before reaching the Tuichi River, then take a half-hour walk along the Wabu Trail to your camp on the shores of the Mashi lagoon.
Take a break on site, perhaps with a nap in your suspended tent, before embarking on a guided walk amid vibrant flora and fauna down the Lucachi Trail. Later tonight, you'll head back out for a nocturnal nature walk filled with wildlife.

Day 4: Immersive jungle experiences
After a night surrounded by jungle wildlife, head out this morning in search of peccaries, capuchin monkeys, and red howler monkeys. Your guide will also introduce you to the various tree species of the primary forest, some of which are more than 300 years old. Did you know that some of these species have a market value greater than gold?
Head back to camp for lunch and a traditional siesta, before continuing your jungle exploration. The Mashi lagoon is a great place to try your hand at piranha fishing. Depending on how well you do, the day's catch could be your evening meal, enjoyed alongside stories of local legends shared by your guide.

Day 5: The jungle's healing powers
Wake up early at 5am and head down the Tuichi River to catch the jungle sunrise, savoring the changing colors in the sky and the morning aromas.
Return to camp for breakfast. This is the time of day when the red howler monkeys start calling for their females, while birds join the orchestra to signal the start of a new day.
Afterward, join your guide for an introduction to local medicinal plants, learning about how the communities use these in both their healing and cooking practices. You'll return to camp for lunch, and after a siesta, head back to Rurrenabaque, arriving in the late afternoon.
