Entebbe Airport - Kampala
Day 1: Welcome To Uganda!
Welcome to Uganda!
Upon your arrival at the airport of Entebbe you will be picked up by your driver, who will take you to the guesthouse.The journey from Entebbe to Kampala takes about 45 minutes.
Depending on the arrival time, which will usually be at night, you can go to sleep right on arrival.

Lake Mburo national Park
Day 2: Head To Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will leave for the Equator at Lake Mburo National Park.
After lunch, relax by the pool or explore the park during a game drive.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Day 3: Drive To The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
In the morning, you can choose between a mountain bike tour or a walking safari. The mountain bike route is just outside the park.
After the lunch, leave for the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The journey is long but passes through some beautiful and and absolutely remarkable landscape that becomes greener and mountainous. At the end of the day, check into the Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 4: See Gorillas In The Wild
Today is the day of the gorilla draw. After breakfast, you will meet the rangers post for the briefing.
Post the briefing, the search for the mountain gorillas begins. Depending on the location of the family you are going to visit, the trip may take a few hours.
The landscape is mountainous, so it is advised to bring suitable walking shoes. After this exciting day and unique experience, it will be time to relax at the lodge.

Day 5: Visit Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, head towards the southern part of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha. This area is rightly known for its tree-climbing lions.
After checking into the lodge, go on a game drive through the park.

Day 6: Navigate The Kazinga Canal
If it was not possible to spot the lions on the trees yesterday, you can try today, or you can choose to start the day slowly. In the morning, you will drive to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth, where you will check into the Marafiki Safari Lodge.
In the afternoon, you will start the boat trip on the Kazinga Canal. This canal connects two lakes, and in and along this canal there are various animals that consider this area as their natural habitat, especially the waterfowls.
After the boat trip, prepare for a delicious dinner.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Rwenzori Mountains
Day 7: Experience The Rwenzori Mountains
In the morning, go on a game drive together with a team of researchers to monitor the lions. Afterwards, proceed to the Rwenzori Mountains.
During the game drive in Kasenyi will have already admired the mountains in the background, so now you will have the opportunity to see them up close. In the mountains there is a Community Guesthouse, the Ruboni Community.
Here you will stay the next two nights in order to experience what it is like to live in the Rwenzori's. The Mountains are also called "The Mountains of the Moon".

Day 8: Explore The Rwenzori Mountains In Depth
Today you will explore the area with a local guide, and he will tell you everything about life in the mountains and their residents.
If you're in good shape you can also hike into the mountains, but beware, it is very steep!

Kibale Forest National Park
Day 9: Visit The Bigodi Wetlands
After breakfast, leave for Fort Portal and Kibale Forest.
Here you will visit the Bigodi wetlands, and in the afternoon you will hike to "the top of the world", the perfect viewpoint over many crater lakes.

Day 10: Search For Chimpazees In Kibale Forest
Early in the morning, you will go with a guide in search of the chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest.
During the Chimpanzee Trekking, you will see many more animals, such as the colobus monkeys and various bird species.
After the trek, continue to Lake Albert and check into your lodge.

Day 11: Make Your Way To Murchison Falls National Park
Today, you will mostly travel. However, it is through beautiful and varied landscape.
At the end of the day you will reach the Murchison Falls National Park. Check into the Murchison River Lodge.

Day 12: Sail On The Nile
Get ready for an early start! Take the ferry to the other side of the Nile in the early morning.
The area where various wild animals stay is called The Delta. The name says it all - here you can find a lot of water, so especially in the evening and early morning, there is a good chance to see a lot of wild animals here. On the way from the ferry to the Delta you will also be able to spot many wild animals, especially the giraffe. The Murchison Falls even has the largest population of Rothschild giraffes in the world.
In the afternoon, go for a boat ride on the Nile to the foot of the Murchison Falls. This boat trip takes about 3 hours, and during this tour, you will see a lot of wild animals. For people who are very fit, there is the possibility to be dropped at the bottom of the waterfall to hike up along the waterfall. This hike is pretty steep and slippery.

Kidepo Valley National Park
Day 13: Drive Towards Kidepo Valley
After breakfast, take the ferry to the other side of the Nile and drive through the northern part of the park towards Kidepo Valley.
Kidepo is one of the most beautiful parks in Africa and certainly the most beautiful park in Uganda. The ride is long but definitely worth it!
At the end of the day, arrive in the Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

Day 14: Go On A Walking Safari
Make an early start today and set out on a walking safari. Together with a guide, you will walk about 8km through the hills that surround the park.
At the end of the afternoon you will also go for a game drive to explore other parts of the park and hopefully spot some wild animals!
Kidepo Valley is especially famous for its magnificent landscape and its large herds of buffalo, but also for the relatively large number of predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah. At the end of the trip it's possible to visit one of the surrounding villages.

Mount Morungule - Kotido
Day 15: Hike Mount Morungule
Leave early in the morning in the direction of Mount Morungule, where the hike starts. At around 8:00, begin the steep walk up. With good weather it is possible to be at the top at 11:30 and fully enjoy the beautiful view.
After lunch, make the descent and continue towards Kotido. You will notice that the landscape slowly changes.
This part of Uganda is much drier and warmer. You will immediately notice that in the environment. In Kotido you will check into Karamoja doctor, a guesthouse run by a Dutch/Ugandan couple who live there with their children.

Day 16: Tour The Village Of Nakipelemoru
Today you will visit one of the largest traditional villages in East Africa: Nakipelemoru.
You will join a guided tour.
End the day with a visit to the sliding rock, a natural slide that has been used for centuries by the local population and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Moroto
Day 17: Hike Beautiful Mount Moroto
The next stop in Karamoja is Moroto.
Towards the end of the afternoon, hike up Mount Moroto to enjoy the beautiful view while sipping on your favorite drink.

Sipi Falls
Day 18: Relax At The Sipi Falls
Leave Karamoja and drive to Sipi Falls. Sipi is located on the slopes of Mount Elgon.
Here you can relax at Sipi River lodge.

Day 19: Join A Coffee Tour Around Mount Elgon
Walk comfortably to the various waterfalls Sipi is known for. You can also take a "natural shower".
In the afternoon, you will join a coffee tour in the company of coffee farmers who grow coffee on the mountain slopes. The coffee beans from Mount Elgon are among the best in the world.

Jinja - Kampala
Day 20: Visit The Source Of The Nile
Via Jinja, drive back to Kampala in 5 hours.
In Jinja, you will visit the source of the Nile and have lunch.

Entebbe
Day 21: Farewell, Uganda!
Today is your last day in Uganda! You will have time to buy some souvenirs or just relax at the swimming pool.
In the evening you will be taken to Entebbe airport. Here is where your Ugandan adventure ends!
