Day 1: Welcome to Ljubljana

Upon touching down on the sunny side of the Alps at Ljubljana International Airport, look out for the friendly face of your chauffeur waiting for you in the arrivals hall.

After assisting you with your luggage, your private transfer will drive you to your hotel in the heart of Ljubljana which will be your base for the night. Don't forget to look out the window and be awed by this quaint yet charming city, a jewel in the heart of Slovenia.

Slovenia's capital with around 250.000 inhabitants, is a picture-perfect medieval old town, where pedestrians and cyclists rule the streets and where the cafés stretch along the charming Ljubljanica river canal.

Once you've checked into the hotel, feel free to freshen up and relax before enjoying the rest of the evening at your own pace and leisure discovering the city.

Day 2: Stroll through Ljubljana's City Streets

Today you will get to know more about Ljubljana.

First, you will enjoy a 2-hour walking tour with your private guide, showing you Ljubljana's highlights like the Town House, Triple Bridge, Prešeren Square, Cathedral, and the always-attractive farmers’ market.

Following the walking tour, you will board the Ljubljanica boat for a ride along the Ljubljanica River, which flows through the picturesque old town.

In the afternoon, you will visit the National Gallery where afterward you can make the short stroll to the famous Tivoli Park.

In the evening, you will take a short walk to the funicular railway station which leads up to the Ljubljana Castle, where the Strelec restaurant for your welcome dinner is located, known for exquisite dishes with a local twist.

Journey to Lake Bohinj

Ljubljana - Bohinj - Mount Vogel

Day 3: Journey to Lake Bohinj

This morning, you will visit the Alpine Dairy Farming Museum in Stara Fužina, where you will get an insight into the life of herdsmen in Bohinj's pastures in an authentic environment. The museum is located in a former village cheese-making facility.

Soaring at 1,535 m, Mount Vogel is an ideal starting point for short or long hiking tours. Panoramic cable cars make the mountains accessible also to those who, due to different reasons, are unable to hike the mountains themselves or simply want to make the most of their time. You will be rewarded with one of the most spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Bohinj.

Lunch will be at Gostilna Rupa where you can experience a real traditional "Bohinj" feeling and taste authentic homemade Slovenian food.

Bled - Vintgar Gorge

Day 4: Bathe in the Beauty of Lake Bled

In the morning, you will take a traditional boat called “pletna” to the island on Lake Bled, where you will visit the Church of the Holy Mother of God and find out more about its legend.

After the visit to Bled Island, you will drive to Vintgar Gorge where you can take a hike along wooden bridges, galleries, and the rushing River Radovna.

Later you will visit the iconic Bled Castle where you will taste the famous Bled Cream Cake. From the castle hill, there are breathtaking views over Bled Lake with the island and the surroundings. It's an experience of a lifetime!

You will wrap up the Bled experience by a fine dinner, accompanied by the finest Slovenian wines at Penzion Berc's summer kitchen.

Planica - Podkoren - Vršič

Day 5: Find Peace in the Alpine Wonderland

In the morning, you will visit the world of the Slovenian indigenous Carniolan honey bee with the opportunity to taste honey and learn more about our long beekeeping tradition.

From Bled, you will drive along the Sava Valley to your next stop Planica, the famous ski jumping and ski-flying venue. Just a short drive away in a beautiful alpine village of Podkoren stands Hotel Vitranc, constructed in a lovely country style. There you will have lunch with schnapps tasting.

After lunch, you will drive up to the high mountain pass Vršič and after that to the Trenta Valley. Just a few steps from your accommodation springs the Soča River, which creates one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe.

Allow your spirit to be awakened by a multi-sensual experience of pure nature, alpine freshness, local gourmet cuisine, and a fairy tale accommodation.

Soca Valley - Goriska Brda

Day 6: Explore the Soca Valley

First, you will visit Juliana, the oldest Alpine botanical garden in a natural environment, in Slovenia. About one hour drive further through the Soča Valley lies Kobarid. The Kobarid Museum displays exhibits on the events that occurred during World War I on the Isonzo Front.

After lunch, it is a one-hour drive to the Goriška Brga region, a picturesque winegrowing area that produces some of Slovenia's finest wines.

First, you will visit a 23 m high lookout tower with 144 stairs, in Gonjače village and then Šmartno that is situated in the geographical center of Brda. 

In the early evening, you will head to a restaurant in Plešivo for a dinner with a strong seasonal note and carefully selects all ingredients from the local area.

Kras - Skocjan Caves - Piran

Day 7: Explore the Depths of Skocjan Caves

In the morning, you will drive to the Kras region and visit the Škocjan Caves in the bottom of the classical karst. Here you can acquaint yourself with distinctive aboveground and subterranean karst phenomena, the most characteristic example of which is unequivocally the Škocjan Caves system with its unique natural values.

From the Škocjan Caves, it is just a short drive to Beatrice, a typical Karst house. However, it is more than just a house. Your hosts Vojka and Jurij will offer you a one-of-a-kind home-made gourmet voyage including marmalade, tomato salsa, bruschetta, Tomaj goat cheese, and other local delicacies like a typical Karst and Friulian one-course dish jota.

A medieval coastal pearl, the town of Piran, is an hour away - the best preserved cultural monument of Slovenian Istria. After a short walking tour of Piran, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 8: Relax at Lepa Vida Thalasso Spa

Your visit to Lepa Vida Thalasso SPA - an open-air spa - depends on weather conditions. The Piran saltpans, where the world-class fleur de sel (flower of salt) is still produced today using age-old methods, were the reason why the picturesque Mediterranean walled town, with its church with a view and cultural attractions, flourished.

In harmony with the unique natural and cultural heritage of this area, an open-air thalasso spa has opened, which enables visitors to use the beneficial resources of the saltpans. Here, guests are offered a special experience of traditional thalassotherapy in a unique natural environment amidst the saltpans using natural products, produced in the Sečovlje Salina Landscape Park.

In the early evening, you will drive to House Torkla for your farewell dinner where you can enjoy the local food in the terrace with a beautiful view of the vineyards.

Day 9: Say Farewell to Slovenia

This morning, you’ll have some free time to spend it your own pace and leisure, enjoying everything that this quaint city has to offer.
