Day 1: Welcome to Romania!

Your exciting holiday starts from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Take your rented car and get some rest if you need it. Are you already impatient to get your first taste of Romania?

Day 2: Discover Bucharest!

Bucharest is not only the capital, but also the biggest city in Romania. Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards and glorious Belle Époque buildings, Bucharest has something to offer to everyone.

Perhaps you will be amazed to hear that in the center of Bucharest you will find the second biggest building in the world - the Parliament Palace. It definitely deserves a visit - the Parliament Palace will astonish you with its grandiosity!

If you are eager to learn more about the different regions in Romania, pay a visit to the Village Museum where your children can see authentic peasant farms and houses from all over Romania.

Don't miss to go to the Natural History Museum, which is aimed squarely at kids. It features modern bells and whistles such as video displays, games and interactive exhibits.

Day 3: Time for Relaxation

It is only your third day in Romania, but what are holidays without some time for relaxation? Therme Bucharest is a very modern and large wellness, relaxation and entertainment center, with pools for all ages. All the pools are filled with thermal water, which is beneficial for your family's health. 

After you had enough swimming, continue relaxing in the beautiful palace Mogosoaia or in its breathtaking gardens, near the lake.

Day 4: Visit the Carpathian Resorts!

Rise and shine!

Today leave Bucharest behind and stop first in Sinaia, a mountain resort at the foot of the Carpathian mountains. Here you can visit the astonishing Peles Castle, a masterpiece of Neo-Renaissance architecture, considered by many one of the most stunning castles in Europe.

After you have admired the picturesque Peles Castle, continue your road to the next mountain resort, Busteni. Here you can take the cable car which will take you to the top where you can see some natural wonders: Babele and Sphinx stones.

After you have explored the area drive to Brasov where you can all have your well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Some Adventure in Brasov

Welcome to Brasov!

Start your morning with a long walk in the city center and discover its medieval charm. Surrounded by the Southern Carpathian Mountains and resplendent with gothic, baroque and renaissance architecture, as well as a wealth of historical attractions, Brasov is one of the most visited places in Romania for a reason.

In the afternoon have some fun climbing trees and ropes and using the thyroline in Aventura Parc Brasov. The kids will surely love it!

Day 6: Explore Count Dracula's Castle!

Why don't you spend day 6 discovering the surroundings of Brasov? There are plenty of famous sites as well as possible activities.

Explore the most famous castle in Transilvanya, Bran Castle, also known as "Dracula's Castle". Hear the legends surrounding the castle, as well as, the true history behind this famous place. You'll never again wonder why you come up with Dracula's image in your mind when you hear about Romania.

Pay a visit to the picturesque Rasnov fortress. It will enchant you with its old history and beautiful view over Piatra Craiului mountains.

After you have explored the most fascinating castles in Romania it is time for your family to admire the dinosaurs in natural size in the Dino Park in Rasnov. And after all that, if you still have energy, you can do some horse back riding in Poiana Brasov. What a busy and exciting day!

Day 7: Play some inderground games in Turda!

On day 7 it is time to leave Brasov and head to Turda. A beautiful salt mine awaits you there. It is one of the coolest underground places in the world. Inside the salt mine you can play some games, visit the salt museum or even take a boat trip on the underground lake.

While on the road, you can have a quick stop in Sighisoara for lunch or just to admire the beautiful, old citadel and its colorful houses.

Day 8: Ice Miracle in Romania

Rise and shine! Today you will visit the magnificent Apuseni Mountains. You will mesmerized by the scenic views that will open up in front of your eyes. Why don't you take a short mountain trek through the century-old forest?

Whatever you do, you just cannot miss to get to Scarisoara cave which hides the biggest glacier in Romania. Take warm clothes since the temperature there is only 2 degrees even during summer!

Bear Cave - Hunedoara

Day 9: Visit the Most Beautiful Castle in Romania!

If you thought that there is nothing more ot explore in Apuseni mountains after you saw the ice miracle, you are wrong. Today you will continue your adventure in Apuseni mountains with another mysterious cave - Bears' cave. A pink underground scenery and a very old bear skeleton will make you wonder what else is hiding our planet?

After exploring the Bears' cave you will continue to Hunedoara where a beautiful fairy-tale castle awaits you! Corvin castle is one of the largest castles in Europe and figures in a top of seven wonders of Romania. Children and adults love it for its medieval spirit, large interiors and princely atmosphere!

Enjoy Oltenia!

Targu Jiu - Horezu

Day 10: Enjoy Oltenia!

Say Goodbye to Transylvania and welcome to another astonishing region in Romania - Oltenia. A wild road through the Jiu gorge will take you here.

Admire the famous sculptures of Brancusi in Targu Jiu - the Endless column, the Table of silence and the Gate of the Kiss. This sculptural ensemble is considered to be one of the great works of 20th-century outdoor sculpture.

Visit one of the old mansions used by lords centuries ago near Horezu and spend your night in Horezu. The town is well known for its people who make pottery and present it at an annual fair. There are special traditions which have been well preserved. Enjoy your day!

Day 11: Back to Bucharest!

You have already explored the most intriguing regions of Romania so it’s time to go back to BucharestBut on the way back there you still have a lot to see: caves with bats, narrow river gorges, monasteries and open air museums.

If you still have some time left in Bucharest take a walk in one of the many enormous parks or go in one of its big malls that have playgrounds for children. They will surely love it!
