Welcome to Perast

Day 1: Welcome to Perast

Upon arrival at Tivat International Airport, look out for the friendly face of your driver waiting for you in the arrivals hall.

After assisting you with your luggage, your private transfer will drive you to your hotel in Perast which will be your base for the night. Don't forget to look out the window and be awed by this majestic city, a jewel sitting alongside the Adriatic Sea.

Once you've checked into the hotel, feel free to freshen up and relax before enjoying the rest of the evening at your own pace and leisure discovering the city.

Day 2: Cruise the Waters of the Bay of Kontor

We hope you're ready for your first Montenegrin adventure!

After breakfast, we'll head to the port of Perast, to embark on a boat to discover the Bay of Kotor. You'll have the opportunity to visit the famous "Notre-Dame-du-Rocher" cathedral located on a small island in the middle of the Bay of Kotor.

Upon returning back to land, you'll have a seafood lunch in an eco-restaurant, before experience one of the only oyster farms in the country, learning the process of raising oysters and mussels on the farm.

Afterward, it's off on a sightseeing tour of Kotor, a UNESCO-listed coastal town famous for its Adriatic fjord, city walls, and Venetian past. Visit the Old Town which was built between the 12th and 14th centuries that is full of historical monuments of medieval architecture.

Perast - Lovcen - Cetinje

Day 3: Hike Amongst the Heights of Lovcen National Park

Today's adventure has us hitting the “Serpentine Road” to enjoy one of the best views on Kotor’s Bay.

We'll begin with a hike through the Lovćen National Park, along an old caravan trail to reach the mausoleum of Petar Petrovic Njegos, sitting atop of  “Mount Lovćen”.

Upon arriving at the top, you'll enjoy the panoramic views of the Boka Kotorska on one side and the Durmitor mountains on the other. We'll have a picnic lunch, giving you time to reenergize while taking in the scenery.

We'll make our way back down to continue the journey, stopping in Njeguši for a tasting of local hams, before reaching Cetinje, the Montenegrin historic capital.

Drop off your luggage at your hotel and enjoy its swimming pool after your day of hiking.

Experience the Montenegrin Countryside

Cetinje - Ostrog - Durmitor

Day 4: Experience the Montenegrin Countryside

Today starts with a walk-in Cetinje, "Capital of the Throne" where the President of Montenegro still resides in "the Blue Palace".

We'll reach the Orthodox Monastery of Ostrog, a magnificent monastery built into the rocks of Ostroska Greda, dating back to the 17th century. It is one of Montenegro's must-sees and one of the most visited monasteries in the Balkans.

After lunch, we'll continue the journey to an eco-village in Durmitor, near Zabljak. Drop off the luggage in your chalet, before spending some time with your hosts to learn more about the life of the local inhabitants in the mountains.

Here, you have the option to discover the local cheese-making process along with the possibility of milking cows or sheep.

Your hosts will treat you to a traditional dinner with local specialties from Durmitor, many of which were produced closeby.

Durmitor - Brijeg

Day 5: Ride Your Way through the Durmitor Mountains

Enjoy breakfast this morning with a breathtaking view of the region before today's briefing. 

Today begins with horseback riding throughout the beautiful landscapes of the Durmitor Mountains, where you will discover alongside your guide, what makes Montenegro so rich.

Upon returning to the village, we'll continue the journey to reach the rafting camp located at the intersection of the Piva and Tara rivers from where you will start the descent tomorrow morning.

Drop off your luggage in your room and enjoy this magnificent natural space to relax, in the serenity of the Montenegrin wilderness.

Feel the Adrenaline in Tara Canyon

Brijeg - Biogradska Gora - Virpazar

Day 6: Feel the Adrenaline in Tara Canyon

Get ready for a morning rafting trip in the Tara Canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world.

Enjoy the adrenaline rush of a 14-kilometer rafting trip through Durmitor National Park and the beautiful Tara Canyon, where we'll make a stop to enjoy traditional cuisine for lunch.

In the afternoon, you'll discover and walk on the impressive Đurđevića Tara Bridge, enjoying the magnificent panoramic view of the canyon, before having the opportunity to zipline across.

In the direction of the Biogradska Gora National Park, you'll discover what is often called "the last jungle in Europe," containing a unique natural wealth attributed to the purity of its water.

At Virpazar, a charming fishing village located on the shores of Lake Skadar, you'll be treated to dinner aboard a restaurant boat on Lake Skadar before calling it a day.

Virpazar - Godinje - Budva

Day 7: Kayak on the Waters of Lake Skadar

We hope you're ready for one final adventure!

After breakfast, collect your equipment before we begin a kayaking excursion on Lake Skadar, considered the heart of Montenegro and the largest lake in the Balkan region, that stretches across Montenegro and Albania.

At the historic village of Godinje, located in the heart of the famed Montenegrin wine region and part of the Skadar Lake National Park, you will visit a village family who has been producing wine for at least five centuries. Enjoy the unique heritage listed village while tasting wines, rakias, liqueurs, and local products.

Afterward, we'll continue along the Montenegrin coastline, stopping at the famous Sveti Stefan peninsula, a former fishing village, now a luxury resort, to take photos of the architectural wonder, before ending the evening in Budva.

Day 8: Say Farewell to Montenegro

This morning, you’ll have some free time in Budva to spend it at your own pace and leisure, enjoying everything that this quaint city has to offer.
