Wonderful trip through a country that is amazing for both primates and birds but most of all for the friendliness of its people.

Well balanced and well organised with 'close to nature' accommodation as briefed. Would have swapped one of the locations (Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp) for a place with better food, but otherwise we were very happy with the locations. Our bird guide was brilliant and absolutely made for an excellent trip. Uganda is a bird lovers paradise and is also great for the range of primates and good for traditional game particularly in Murchison Falls Park. We loved the people of Uganda who were warm, welcoming and friendly.

What was good about Our local partner based in Uganda?

Easy to deal with, understanding and responsive

What could Our local partner based in Uganda improve on?

Perhaps give more information on the accommodation in advance as websites and trip Advisor are not entirely accurate.

What did you think about the guides or drivers on your trip?

Our driver needs a bit of training on how to position a vehicle so his clients can see the animals rather than so that he can see them. It is a skill that is quite difficult to acquire. He is a safe careful driver on the roads. Prossi the bird guide is wonderful.

What advice would you give to other travellers planning a trip to Uganda?

Be prepared for some long drives and long walks when tracking primates.

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

Seeing the Shoebill.
