Day 3: Into the heart of Corcovado National Park
Did you know that Corcovado National Park is famous for its impressive biodiversity? Today you'll enjoy a morning hike of its lush grounds, starting with a 25-minute boat ride along the west coast of Osa. Prepare for a wet landing a few feet from the beach and begin your excursion, into the dense primary rainforest adjacent to San Pedrillo - Corcovado National Park’s northernmost ranger station.
Walk along with your guide as he points out diverse species on a trail that is easy to navigate. You may spot white-faced capuchins, howler and spider monkeys, white-lipped peccaries, coatis, scarlet macaws, and many other birds and insects. Stop for lunch, then proceed on a hike to a beautiful waterfall to splash around in the cool water, take photos, and relax. You'll board the boat back to your accommodation in Drake Bay, with a chance of spotting humpback whales and dolphins breaching the water's surface en route.

Board an island hopper with a dive master and embark on a breathtaking underwater adventure. Snorkellers of all ages and experience levels can enjoy this excursion, making it suitable for families as well.
Usually, visibility is 30 to 100 ft or more year-round, and the reefs and rock formations are teeming with exotic marine life. The creatures that inhabit the waters of Isla del Caño include (but are certainly not limited to) various species of colourful fish, turtles, stingrays, and whitetip reef sharks.
