Detailed Itinerary

Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas
Day 1: Welcome to the Andes!
Welcome! One of our guides will give you a warm southern welcome as you arrive at the Puerto Montt Airport.
This city is filled with historic treasures, we start our city tour by discovering the main square, or Plaza de Armas; from there, we will visit the Cathedral, the German Settlers Monument and a group of buildings which show us the architectonic mixture of the German colonization and the master builders of Chiloé. From Manuel Montt lookout, we will have the chance to contemplate a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
After this introduction to the port city of Puerto Montt, our private transfer will accompany you to that small, lakeside town of Puerto Varas. Named after a National Hero, the city is sometimes referred to as the City of Roses, thanks to the many flowers that flourish in this lush environment. Here, you’ll rest and relax in the beautiful Lake and Volcano´s District.

Puerto Varas - Vicente Perez Rosales National Park
Day 2: Volcanoes in the Distance
From the lovely smells of the City of Roses, we will travel along the coastal borders of Lake Llanquihue. We’ll enjoy the amazing landscape with the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes until we get to Ensenada, where we start to ascend to the Osorno Ski Mountain center, located at 1.240 meters of altitude. We will stay there about an hour, enough time for sightseeing, taking pictures, and to appreciate a unique view to the summit of the volcano with glaciers of eternal snow.
Later, we’ll go to the Waterfalls of Petrohue in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Of course, always enjoying the picturesque landscape and magnificent view of the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Here, we can take a soft walk and become completely immersed in an evergreen forest, the Osorno Volcano and the beautiful turquoise color of Petrohué River.

Puerto Varas - San Carlos De Bariloche
Day 3: Sail to Argentina
On this day, we will sail across the Andes Mountains towards Argentina. We’ll begin our journey in the small, and colorful town of Frutillar. We will sail on what is known as the Colonos Route (path of the settlers), towards the “Volcanoes Viewpoint”. The beauty of this landscape enchants but there is still much more to see!
We’ll see the colors of the natural scenery change around us as we navigate through the beauty of the lakes and the Valdivian temperate rain forest to the low-lying wetlands. Keep your eyes peeled for the unique native flora and fauna.
At noon, we’ll arrive at Villa La Angosturaone of the most charming cities of the area. Walking through its streets, we will observe that the increase of visitors has not disrupted the traditional aspect of this warm mountain village. We will have time to enjoy the lunch in a comfortable familiar atmosphere.

San Carlos De Bariloche - Glacier Negro
Day 4: Explore Bariloche
Enjoy a delightful breakfast while looking out onto the vast lakes that you sailed across yesterday.
Afterward, you’ll leave from Bariloche to go on a full day excursion to Tronador Mountain and Glacier Negro. We’ll travel along the coast of Gutiérrez Lake and then the Mascarilla Lake also called the lake of the seven colors.
We will stop at Pampa Linda, giving time for lunch.
The tour culminates a little further, at the foot of the Volcano Tronador. From the point of view, you can see the origin of the Glacier Negro: The Black Ventisquero. This is a massive black glacier who links up to the Manso Glacier, located at the top of the Tronador Mountain.

San Carlos De Bariloche
