Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam!

Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Welcome to Vietnam's capital, where a historical emphasis is placed on the arts and learning. The buildings in this city are small, simple and in harmony with nature, and you'll soon feel immersed as you head out to explore your surroundings. You will have the afternoon at your leisure before an evening welcome dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Take a tour of bustling Hanoi

On day two, explore the history of Hanoi as you visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the preserved body of "Uncle Ho" may be viewed. You'll get to see his nearby house on stilts, before continuing on to the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, the Quan Thanh Temple, the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ngoc Son Temple, and other lesser-known yet equally fascinating landmarks.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will enjoy a one-hour cycle around Hanoi's Old Quarter, followed by a relaxing, 90-minute traditional body massage. In the late afternoon, sit down to watch a Vietnamese water puppet show, before having the rest of the night free to explore or relax back at your hotel.

Day 3: Embark on an elegant Ha Long Bay cruise

At 8am today, your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi for a transfer to Ha Long Bay. There, you will be welcomed in a lounge area before boarding your ship for a wonderful overnight cruise experience.

Sail along Bai Tu Long Bay and past beautiful islets, soaking up incredible views as you go. Visit the Vung Vieng fishing village, where you can observe the process of growing pearls while learning about the life of the local people; you'll board a bamboo boat to explore the village and oyster pearl farming plots in greater depth.

Continue to Cong Do Island and enjoy the wonderful sunset. You could opt to kayak, relax on the beach or enjoy an afternoon tea. Later, try your hand at the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking, and enjoy the many evening activities available on board.

Day 4: Explore Hon Co Island & Co Cave

Wake up to the gentle lapping of the water against the boat as the first rays of the sun announce a new day. Why not try a vovinam martial arts session on the sundeck, as the sun rises over Bai Tu Long Bay?

Afterwards, take a trip out to Hon Co Island and Co Cave. Enjoy your time relaxing on the beach, swimming in the crystal-clear water, and exploring at your leisure.

You'll then return to the cruise ship by speedboat and sail back to the port for disembarkation. Your driver will be waiting to take you to the airport in Hanoi, for your onward journey to Hue.

Once you've arrived into Hue, check into your hotel, the wonderful Alba Wellness Resort by Fusion. Spend the rest of the day as you wish, exploring your surroundings or simply relaxing at your five-star hotel.

Day 5: Let the pampering begin!

Day 6: Well-earned rest & relaxation

After breakfast, spend another day at leisure, making the most of your resort's five-star facilities. If you're feeling up to it, head out for a while to explore the sights and sounds of Hue. Nature and history abound here: you could spend the day venturing into the Bach Ma National Park or exploring the Complex of Hue Monuments, recognised as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

A final day of R&R awaits! Wake up to a delicious breakfast, then spend your final moments in Hue, soaking up the restful and relaxing atmosphere. Relish another massage and onsen bath session, or seize your chance to sightsee in the area one last time.
