Welcome to Madrid!

Madrid

Day 1: Welcome to Madrid!

Upon arrival at the Madrid-Adolfo Suarez Airport, you will be taken to your hotel and briefed about your trip.

Then, your local guide will take you on a city tour on foot or by electric bicycle to show you the main highlights. The visit will end in a popular restaurant where you will eat “Cocido Madrileño” the most typical dish in Madrid. This is a superb restaurant that takes a lot of pride in its cuisine using only the best produce and traditional cooking methods, respecting the tradition, ingredients, and flavors of four generations. 

At sunset, you will enjoy a Spanish wine tasting session with a local entrepreneur who has her own wine shop in the popular neighborhood of Lavapies. Cheers!

Traditional Taverns & Tapas

Madrid

Day 2: Traditional Taverns & Tapas

After breakfast, you will have free time to explore the city until late afternoon. Then, you will enjoy the local cuisine in a tour called atypical tapas, where you will visit local taverns that offer very interesting food!

This tour takes place in Las Letras neighborhood, an area of Madrid where the most famous writers of the Spanish Golden Age (such as Cervantes and Lope de Vega) have lived. Now, this neighborhood hosts chic and traditional taverns featuring unique tapas inspired by the classics. Let your palate enjoy the best of tapas!

Stunning Toledo City

Toledo - Madrid

Day 3: Stunning Toledo City

Wake up early, have breakfast, and take the train to Toledo city, a fantastic World Heritage site. You will do a unique tour of the city with an eco-guide over the Tagus river banks, where you will have a different perspective of the medieval city and learn about the natural environment.

After the tour, you will enjoy some free time to discover the city on your own, visiting the historic center, the Alcazar or the synagogues.

At sunset, return by train to Madrid.

Segovia

Day 4: Superb Historic Center of Segovia

After breakfast, you will take the high-speed train to Segovia. (Transfer to/from the train station to the city center/hotel is not included). Leave your luggage at the hotel and go explore the wonders of the historic center: the Cathedral, the Alcazar, the Aqueduct, or the Jewish quarter.

You will enjoy a superb dinner at a Sephardic restaurant of your hotel that has an important historical heritage of the 15th century.

Córdoba

Day 5: Spectacular City of Cordoba

After breakfast, you will take the high-speed train to Córdoba - (transfer from the train station to the accommodation is not included). Your local guide will be waiting to take you on a guided tour of the city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will visit the picturesque courtyards of the city - also Intangible Cultural Heritage - and the spectacular Cathedral-Mosque. You will stop at a small workshop of a Guadamec artisan who continues to use an Andalusian artistic technique.

Medina Azahara Archaelogical Site

Córdoba - Medina Azahara

Day 6: Medina Azahara Archaelogical Site

After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to Medina Azahara. It a fantastic archeological site of a city that was ordered to be built by the first caliph of Córdoba, Abderramán III, about 8 km outside of Cordoba, at the valley of Sierra Morena. You will visit the site with a private guide, and on your return to Cordoba you will have free time to continue discovering the city on your own.

Day 7: Guided Bike Tour of Seville, & Enjoy Flamenco

After breakfast, you will take the train to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. A private transfer will be waiting to take you to your accommodation in the historic center of the city. You will get ready for a guided bike tour of Seville; a fun and entertaining way to get to know the city on two wheels.

After having free time to rest, you will get the opportunity to experience an enjoyable night of Flamenco and tapas in the popular neighborhood of Triana. This will indeed be one of the highlights of your trip, and create a vivid memory for the rest of your life!

Day 8: Fabulous Olive Groves in Rinconada

After breakfast, your private transport will take you to the quirky town of Rinconada to visit a fantastic organic olive grove. Here, take a guided tour to learn about the olive oil culture and enjoy a tasting session of one of the best olive oils in the world. Before you leave, you will have a delicious lunch made with local produce.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy at your own pace back in Seville. We can suggest some places to visit and to have dinner.

Day 9: Splendid Attractions & Cuisine in Barcelona

You will wake up early today to catch a flight to Barcelona. Upon your arrival, take public transport to reach your accommodation in the heart of the city. Enjoy a free day to wander around the city and discover the city center and the many highlights of this vibrant metropolis.

Dinner tonight will be served in a solidarity gastronomic project called Mescladis. You will enjoy exquisite Mediterranean cuisine with values since the gastronomic offer allows the economic sustainability of their Cooking Opportunities Program and several Community Development projects. As a client, you will be supporting the project. When you order a coffee, choose something from the menu or have a beer, you are creating opportunities for social cohesion in Barcelona.

Day 10: Urban Nature in Barcelona

After breakfast, you will meet your local naturalist guide to discover Barcelona from another perspective: the urban nature and green spaces that have been shaping the city today. 

At the end of the visit you will have free time to lunch nearby (we can recommend some places) visit the parks or walk around the Montjüic.

The last dinner of your Spanish holiday will be at a traditional winery in the popular neighborhood of Poble Séc.
