Day 1: Arrival into Panama

Welcome to Panama. Upon your arrival at Tocumen International Airport, your driver will be waiting to greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel in the center of Panama City.

Day 2: A day to explore Panama City

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel to begin an exciting guided tour of Panama City. The first stop is Panama La Vieja, the country’s original capital, which was famously destroyed by the pirate Henry Morgan.

Next, you’ll head to the iconic Panama Canal and the Miraflores Locks. At the visitor center, you'll have a front-row view of ships—ranging from massive container vessels to elegant cruise ships—making their way through the locks. You’ll also learn about the fascinating history of the Canal and its engineering marvel.

To round off the day, explore the charming Casco Antiguo, the historic and bohemian heart of Panama City. Stroll through narrow, colorful streets that lead to Plaza de Francia, where you’ll discover beautiful art-deco architecture and the city's rich past, highlighted by the impressive cathedral.

Panama City - Bayano Lake - Panama City

Day 3: Kayak & trek at Bayano Lake

Today, embark on an adventure to one of Panama's most pristine natural gems: Bayano Lake, the region’s second-largest water reservoir and a sanctuary for diverse bird and animal species. As you explore the area, you’ll trek through ancient limestone caves, encountering bats, mini waterfalls, and eventually arriving at a crystal-clear natural pool—perfect for a refreshing dip.

The journey continues as you kayak along the serene river, heading to the Monkey Ranch, a floating platform where you'll enjoy a delicious handmade lunch, surrounded by the beauty of Panama's wilderness.

Panama City - Natural Metropolitan Park - Panama City

Day 4: Search for sloths in Metropolitan Natural Park

Discover the wonders of Panama City's unique natural haven with a visit to the Metropolitan Natural Park, just 15 minutes from downtown. As the only capital in the Americas surrounded by a true tropical forest, Panama City boasts this 232-hectare protected area known as the city's "green lung." The park forms part of an important biological corridor, allowing wildlife to move freely between the Pacific and Atlantic forests.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to spot sloths, over 250 species of birds, and a variety of reptiles and amphibians in their natural habitat.

Day 5: Journey to the rainforest

It's time to venture outside of the city. After an exciting pirogue trip up the Chagres River, embark on a fun-filled tubing adventure through gentle rapids, gliding past lush rainforests and dramatic ravines. You'll float toward a serene natural beach of rocks and sand.

Your journey includes a stop at an indigenous Embera village, where you'll have the unique opportunity to learn about their rich culture and traditions. Enjoy a traditional lunch featuring local favorites like plantains, fish, and yuca.

The day continues with a short, easy hike to a stunning waterfall, before checking into your new accommodation located in the middle of the Panamanian rainforest!

Day 6: Wildlife spotting on Lake Gamboa

Head to Lake Gamboa for an exciting day of exploration aboard the "Monkey Lodge II." As you navigate alongside massive ships transiting between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, you'll cruise past islands home to a variety of wildlife, including the playful capuchin monkeys that thrive in the area.

Your adventure continues with a short walk along the famous Pipeline Road, a world-renowned spot for birdwatching. Here, you'll have the chance to observe the rich diversity of Panama’s bird species before ascending an observation tower for breathtaking panoramic views of the lush rainforest.

Gamboa - Isla Colón

Day 7: Journey to the islands of Bocas del Toro

After a private transfer from Gamboa to Albrook Airport, you’ll take a short, scenic flight from Panama City to the beautiful islands of Bocas del Toro.

That evening, embark on a magical two-hour boat tour to witness the incredible bioluminescence of plankton. You’ll visit three distinct locations, where you’ll experience how the plankton react to light and movement, creating a mesmerizing glow in the water. The adventure includes snorkeling in the midst of this natural phenomenon—an unforgettable experience as the water lights up with every stroke of your paddle or swim!

Day 8: Sea turtles & snorkeling in island paradise

Embark on a memorable day trip to the stunning Zapatilla Island. Your adventure begins with a visit to a dolphin-watching area, where you'll have the chance to observe these playful creatures in their natural habitat. Next, you'll stop at a small mangrove to spot sloths lounging among the trees.

From there, head to Cayo Coral to snorkel through vibrant coral gardens, where you can explore the rich marine life at your leisure. Afterward, visit part of the Bastimentos Marine National Park, where sea turtles come to nest. Enjoy time to stroll along the island’s sandy shores and swim in its crystal-clear waters.

For lunch, return to Cayo Coral and dine at a floating sea restaurant before heading to the final stop, "Hollywood"—a spot known for its abundance of starfish, offering the perfect end to your tropical island adventure.

Day 9: Explore the world of cocoa

It's your final day in paradise! Today, on San Cristobal Island, immerse yourself in the world of sustainable cocoa farming at a charming rainforest farm. As you explore, you'll learn about the cultivation process and enjoy tasting a variety of fresh tropical fruits and cocoa products straight from the source. Surrounded by lush flora and vibrant fauna, this experience offers a perfect blend of nature and local flavors in the heart of the rainforest.

Day 10: Farewell, Panama

It's time to say goodbye to Panama! Board a short, one-hour national flight from Bocas del Toro back to Panama City. Upon arrival at Albrook Airport, your driver will be waiting to provide a private transfer to Tocumen International Airport, where you’ll catch your international flight home.
