Day 2: All aboard for awe-inspiring whale watching
Enjoy breakfast before heading to see Arctic wildlife at its best. Whales visit the Norwegian coast every year, making it possible to see the orcas and humpback whales crowd the fjords of Northern Norway in winter. Join a tour, aboard a quiet electric ship, for a unique perspective of the majestic humpback and killer whales, as they hunt in the herring-rich fjords of Tromsø.
Setting out in the morning makes it possible to intercept the whales as the short winter day dawns. Along the way, enjoy wonderful views of winter-clad landscapes in comfortable, panoramic lounges over several decks.
The length of the trip depends on the location of the whales, so it can vary from 4-7 hours; return to your hotel and enjoy dinner in Tromsø.

Day 3: Fascinating walking tour of Tromsø
Breakfast in your hotel, before setting out on a guided walk through Tromsø town.
Join this fascinating guided walking tour, picking out highlights amongst Tromsø's buildings, statues and monuments. Discover why the town has earned the nickname "Gateway to the Arctic", learn its fascinating history and hear real local stories that bring it all to life.

Day 4: Spectacular Aurora dinner cruise
Take some time to explore the beautiful city and surroundings of Tromsø.
Start with a ride on the cable car; the two gondolas, known as Seal and Polar Bear, ascend the mountain ledge in just four minutes. From the observation deck at the top station, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Tromsø and the surrounding islands, mountains, and fjords.
Return to Tromsø centre for your Aurora dinner cruise. Offering a memorable last night in Tromso, this is the ultimate floating restaurant experience. The quiet electric catamaran moves around the Arctic shores, while passengers experience the flavors of the north, supplied by a local restaurant. Look out for the Northern Lights that will truly set this cruise apart.

Day 5: Nordic dog-sled experience
After breakfast at your hotel, prepare your luggage for the bus transfer to the airport. Board the 40 minute flight to Alta, a city and a municipality in the province of Finnmark, within Norway.
This area has a surprisingly mild climate, given its location in the usually freezing north. Experience the Sami culture up close and admire some rock carvings that have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival in Alta, transport will whisk you away to Holmen Husky lodge to begin your Nordic adventure with an incredible Dog sledding experience.
Afterwards, prepare for a 2-course country-style dinner and then relax like a true Norseman in an outdoor Jacuzzi and/or sauna.
This amazing day draws to a close with a chance to really get in touch with the culture of the North, sleeping under the breathtaking Nordic sky in a tipi.
