Detailed Itinerary

Marrakech
Day 1: Dive into the heart of Marrakech
Your Moroccan adventure begins in Marrakech! Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative and taken to your riad in the heart of the medina. Welcome tea and Moroccan pastries will be served to help you relax and unwind after a long flight.
In the evening, take time to visit Jemaa El Fnaa Square. Explore this age-old medieval circus filled with snake charmers, acrobats, and other cinematic attractions. Your guide will lead you through the labyrinthine streets and alleys, across which you'll enjoy aromatic smells, taste freshly squeezed orange juice, and venture into souks to find Berber carpets, silver jewellery, artisan workshops, handmade shoes, and tanneries.
Enjoy a three-course dinner consisting of fresh salad, tagine and fruit at one of Marrakech's most delectable restaurants, before retiring to your riad for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore the history of Marrakech
After breakfast, you'll set out on a historical day tour of Marrakech. Explore the sites, sounds and souks, starting with the peaceful Majorelle Gardens. Named after the French painter who called it his home, it features stunning Majorelle blue paintwork and a unique collection of flora and fauna. You'll carry on to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, before stopping at the Saadian Tombs, where about 60 members of the Saad Dynasty were laid to rest. Admire the monuments made of Italian Carrara marble and stroll its tranquil gardens, before continuing to the iconic Bahia Palace - a stunning example of Eastern Architecture from the 19th century. Further attractions on this tour include the Jewish Mellah district, the colourful Old Spice Market, and the Maison Tiskiwin Museum with its unique displays of art and artifacts.

Marrakech
Day 3: A cooking class in Marrakech
A treat for the senses is on the menu today, as you partake in a traditional cooking class! Learn how to make authentic tagines and other Moroccan specialities, under the expert eye of a seasoned chef. Begin in the late morning, selecting your ingredients in the souk and bringing these back to the kitchen to whip up a feast. Discover authentic cooking and preparation methods, before sitting down to enjoy the fruits of your labour for lunch or dinner.

Day 4: The tranquillity of the Ourika Valley
From Marrakech, you'll take a wonderful day trip out into the Ourika Valley, visiting gardens bursting with saffron and nectarines en route. You'll also have the chance to unwind together amidst the charms of Kasbah Bab Ourika, a stunning hotel surrounded by the beauty of the Atlas Mountains, just 35 minutes from Marrakech. Soak up the panoramic views, cool off by the pool, make the most of the spa facilities, taste delicious Berber recipes at the restaurant, and feel yourself whisked away by the idyllic atmosphere. After a day of pure relaxation, you'll then return to Marrakech, where you'll have an overnight stay back at your riad.

Marrakech - Essaouira
Day 5: Journey to the coast
From Marrakech, depart for the coastal climes of Essaouira! The journey to this former Portuguese fishing village offers up only a few roadside towns and the occasional Berber village; upon arrival, you'll be awestruck by the blue-and-white architecture and laid-back atmosphere of this medieval destination. Alongside its expansive beach, it features a bustling medina, a lively fishing harbour, art galleries, workshops specialised in thuya woodworking, and mouthwatering seafood.

Essaouira
Day 6: At leisure in Essaouira
Spend the day at leisure, getting to know the many attractions of Essaouira. Set out to explore on your own, or opt for a selection of fun-filled activities - from horseback riding in Sidi Kaouki, to quad biking or camel trekking on the beach. Enjoy lunch at a fish-grill cafe overlooking the seafront, and take time to visit the historic Jewish Mellah or Orson Welles Square.

Essaouira - Marrakech
Day 7: Return to Marrakech
You'll make your return to Marrakech today, travelling up into the hills that border Essaouira before heading inland, away from the argan forests and into the plains. Pass by the rocky desert of Agafay along the way, on a scenic journey of about three hours.
Back in Marrakech, enjoy the soothing wonders of a traditional Moroccan hammam, before sitting down for dinner at Chez Ali. A true culinary experience awaits! Enjoy your traditional meal as you're entertained by Berber dancing, horsemanship displays, and more. There's no better way to end your last full day in Morocco!

Day 8: Goodbye, Morocco
It's time to say goodbye to Marrakech. At a suitable time, check out of your riad and transfer to the airport ahead of your flight back home. Safe travels and visit again soon!
