Marrakech
Day 1: Welcome to Morocco!
After arriving into Marrakech airport, a driver will meet you to transfer you to your beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. Instantly your senses will be alight with the smells, sights and warmth of the city.
Today is at leisure so spend the time relaxing in your riad or wandering the bustling streets of Marrakech.

Day 2: Experience the medina
Embark on an adventure through Marrakech's vibrant medina today, immersing yourself in its enchanting sights and scents. Join a knowledgeable city guide to discover iconic landmarks like the Koutubia Mosque, the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and the lively souks at the heart of the city. Don't miss the breathtaking Bab Agnaou, Marrakech's most magnificent gate, and the stunning Bahia Palace.
This afternoon is at leisure to stroll through famous gardens, marvelling at their beauty, or indulge in the ultimate relaxation at a traditional hammam and feel your stress melt away.
This evening, dine at a typical Moroccan restaurant within the medina and savour the flavours of the local cuisine, with its aromatic spices and authentic dishes.

Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat
Day 3: Majestic mosques & historical marvels
This morning you will visit the vibrant city of Casablanca. Step inside the iconic Hassan II Mosque, and be awestruck by its grandeur and intricate details. It truly is a sight to behold.
Continue your journey to Rabat, the country's capital, where a treasure trove of attractions awaits. Explore the enchanting gardens of the royal palace and immerse yourself in the rich history of the Almohad period at the majestic Kasbah des Oudaias. Pay homage at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a place of reverence and grandeur, accompanied by the imposing Hassan Tower.
Don't miss the chance to wander through the captivating medina, with its labyrinthine alleys, adorned with exquisite wooden doors. Experience the charm of traditional Moroccan architecture and treat yourself to breath-taking views from terraces overlooking the picturesque Bou Regreg River.

Rabat - Meknes - Fez
Day 4: Ancient gates
Get ready for an exciting day as you embark on a drive to Meknes. This city is renowned for its magnificent walls stretching 40km, adorned with splendid city gates. Prepare to be dazzled by the authentic souks, offering a variety of local crafts and vibrant market experiences. Don't miss the chance to explore the medina, where you'll find the stunning Bab El Mansour, considered one of Morocco's most beautiful gates. Take a stroll through the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, and delve into its rich cultural heritage.
Your next stop is the remarkable Roman city of Volubilis, where you'll witness the intricate ruins that bring history to life, before continuing on to Fez. En route catch a glimpse of the pilgrimage town of Moulay Idriss nestled amidst the hills, its outline resembling a majestic dromedary.

Today you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fez, the oldest of the royal cities, brimming with a rich tapestry of Moroccan culture and history.
Begin your sightseeing tour at the 'Castle of the South', where a beautiful panoramic view of the old town awaits. Step through the intricately decorated Bab Boujloud gate and find yourself immersed in the best-preserved old town district in all of Morocco. View the sacred tomb of Moulay Idriss and witness the grandeur of the Kairaouine mosque, the oldest university in the world.
As you wander through the labyrinthine streets, the vibrant souks invite you to indulge in a sensory feast. Lose yourself in the alleys teeming with coppersmiths, tanners and potters. Each step reveals a kaleidoscope of colours, scents, and the sounds of artisans practicing their craft.

Fez - Azrou - Midelt
Day 6: Morocco’s monkeys
Today you will wave goodbye to Fez as you journey to Midelt.
First up today is a stop at Ifran, the skiing haven affectionately known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Take in the charming alpine scenery and capture some memorable snapshots of this stunning landscape.
Then, venture deeper into the Middle Atlas region on a scenic route unveiling cedar forests. Take a leisurely walk through this area and keep your eyes peeled, for mustard yellow-furred Barbary macaques. These mischievous creatures are known to approach visitors in the hope of being gifted a few peanuts.
In the afternoon, you'll arrive at Midelt, known for its apple farming. This charming destination offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and agricultural abundance. Explore the town's quaint streets, savour the local flavours, and immerse yourself in its welcoming atmosphere.

Midelt - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi
Day 7: A desert adventure in Merzouga
After breakfast you will drive through the Ziz Gorges, a breathtaking canyon adorned with lush oases and swaying date palms. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning natural beauty that surrounds you.
As you continue, you'll pass by Erfoud, a town adorned with striking red-plastered houses. Notice the change in scenery as you approach Merzouga. This small desert haven is nestled amidst the majestic red-golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi.
Once you have arrived, you will embark on an unforgettable experience as you journey into the Sahara traditionally, riding a dromedary. Surrounded by endless sandy dunes, here you'll get to truly experience the beauty and vastness of the Earth. This will only be heightened as you watch the golden hues of the setting sun across the sand.

Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorge
Day 8: Gorge on beautiful gorges
Rise and shine early today to catch the magical sunrise over the Sahara before tucking into a delicious breakfast.
You have two options to make your way back to Merzouga today; either hop back on a dromedary, or buckle up and enjoy an exhilarating ride in an off-road vehicle.
As you continue your journey today, you'll pass through Rissani, the former capital of the Tafilalt region, where you’ll visit a historic caravan station which has seen many countless explorers throughout history.
In the afternoon, have your camera ready for a picturesque drive through the Todra Valley as you journey to the majestic Todra Gorge, a natural wonder that will leave you speechless.

Dades - El-kelâa M'gouna - Ouarzazate
Day 9: From oasis villages to Hollywood sets
Today's route takes you along the breathtaking Dades valley. Here you'll be treated to mesmerising views of oasis villages, lush date palms, and majestic kasbahs.
As you travel further, prepare to be enchanted by the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This iconic route will unveil hidden gems and surprises at every turn. Marvel at the enchanting oasis of El-Kelâa M'Gouna, nestled within the stunning Valley of the Roses. You’ll be able to smell this area before you see it as the sweet fragrance of rose wafts through the fresh air.
In the afternoon, reach the famous city of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. This city has been the backdrop for numerous international films, including cinematic masterpieces like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Taroudant
Day 10: Magnificent kasbahs
After a filling breakfast, you’ll head towards the village of Ait Benhaddou, one of the most magnificent kasbahs in North Africa. This architectural marvel showcases the beauty of traditional Berber adobe design, with its intricate details and impressive fortifications.
Continuing southwest, immerse yourself in the rich Berber culture of the Sous region. Along the way, you have the option to visit a women's cooperative, and learn about the lives of women in this part of the world.
In the afternoon you'll arrive in Taroudant, former capital of the Sous region and an enchanting city known as the little sister of Marrakech. Walk along the beautiful city walls, lose yourself in the vibrant and colourful souk, and indulge in the abundance of goods on offer.

Taroudant - Agadir - Essaouira
Day 11: Sun, sea & sights
Get ready for another day of excitement as your journey takes you along the scenic Atlantic Coast to the vibrant city of Agadir.
Make the most of your visit by taking a leisurely stroll along the beautiful beach promenade. If you're up for some adventure, head to the Agadir Ofla viewpoint for a panoramic view of the city.
Continue on to Essaouira, a charming coastal city brimming with history. Spend the afternoon wandering around the characterful streets of its old town, making sure to walk up to its historic Sqala, a fortified sea bastion that stands as a testament to the city's rich history. The beautiful whitewashed walls and electric-blue shutters of Essaouira will remind you of Greece as you stroll through its streets adorned with pottery, art and souvenir shops.

Day 12: Essaouira's delights
After a relaxing breakfast, you'll have today free to spend at your own pace, uncovering more of Essaouira's lovely sights. Why not spend some time watching surfers glide across the waves at the beach, or visit the former Jewish quarter for a dose of history.

Day 13: Transfer to the airport
Today you'll bid farewell to Morocco after a wonderful trip. A driver will transfer you from Essaouira to the airport in Marrakech, to continue your homeward journey.
