Podgorica Airport - Podgorica
Day 1: Welcome to Montenegro!
Upon arrival at Podgorica International Airport, look out for the friendly face of your local guide waiting for you in the arrivals hall.
After assisting you with your luggage, your private transfer will drive you to your hotel in Podgorica, Montenegro's capital city, which will be your base for the night.
Podgorica is a city with tumultuous history which now exists as a lively jigsaw of culture, its architecture, food, music, and nightlife an eclectic mix of the different peoples who have controlled the city and called it home in the past.
Once you've checked in and freshened up, feel free to spend the rest of the day at your own pace and leisure.

Biogradska Gora - Kolasin
Day 2: Marvel at the Natural Beauty of Biogradska Gora
After your breakfast, we'll set off and take the road across the picturesque Canyon de Moraia headed towards Monastery Morača.
Here, you'll find a monastery, that was for more than seven centuries, the center of historical and cultural events in the region, containing important frescoes, the most famous of which is "The Raven Feeds Saint-Ilija".
We'll continue on the road towards Biogradska Gora before stopping nearby Biogradska’s lake for lunch.
Afterward, stroll freely through the park's primary forest along the beautiful trail around its lake known for the purity of its water. You will discover the beauty of this national park oft-referred to as "the last jungle of Europe" with a unique natural richness.
In the late afternoon, we'll head to the charming mountain village of Kolasin. Drop off your luggage in your hotel and enjoy free time to enjoy the hotel spa and swimming pool.

Durdevica Bridge - Black Lake - Zabljak
Day 3: Dive into the Beauty of Black Lake
We hope you've had an enjoyable night's rest and are excited by today's adventure.
After breakfast, we'll head towards the Tara River which carves its way through the second deepest canyon in the world. Here, you'll discover the impressive Durdevica Bridge and enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the canyon.
Afterward, we'll continue to the village of Zabljak for lunch before continuing onto the Black Lake. Hidden below the Durmitor peaks and rising to more than 2000 meters above sea level, we'll walk around its edge before returning to Zabljak.
Relax at your hotel before dinner which brings the possibility of being accompanied by Montenegrin folk dances and music.

Ostrog Monastery - Our-lady-of-the-rock - Kotor
Day 4: Find Serenity in Ostrog Monastery
After breakfast, we'll begin the journey towards the Orthodox Monastery of Ostrog, a magnificent monastery built into the rocks and dating back to the 17th century. It is one of Montenegro's must-sees and one of the most visited monasteries in the Balkans.
After lunch, we'll continue onto the ancient city of Perast. Known for its harbor where Peter I learned to sail, you'll visit the Marine Museum before we embark on a boat to discover Kotor Bay. Visit the famous Our Lady of the Rock Cathedral located on a small island in the middle of the Bay of Kotor before heading back to your hotel in the evening.

Njegusi - Cetinje - Budva
Day 5: Taste the Flavors of Montenegro
This morning starts with a sightseeing tour of Kotor, a UNESCO listed, coastal city famous for its fjord on the Adriatic, its walls, and its Venetian past. You will admire the old town that was built between the XII and the XIV century and full of historical monuments of medieval architecture.
Then, we'll hit the “Serpentine Road” towards the village of Njegusi for a tasting of local produce. It's a quaint mountain village that became known for its production of cheese and smoked ham.
Afterward, we'll continue onto Cetinje, Montenegrin's historic capital for lunch in the city center. Stroll through the "capital of the throne" where the president of Montenegro still resides in the "Blue Palace", before we hit the road headed for Budva, our destination for the evening.

Sveti Stefan - Virpazar - Skadar Lake
Day 6: Cruise the Waters of Lake Skadar
Today, we'll drive along the Montenegrin coastline, stopping first at the famous peninsula of Sveti Stefan, a former fishing village transformed into a luxury hotel complex.
Continue on towards Stari Bar, one of the largest ports on the eastern Adriatic coast. We'll embark on a sightseeing tour of the city to see a city that has often changed masters over the centuries - from Byzantium to Turkey to the Slavic and Serbian kingdoms.
Then it's onto Virpazar for lunch before heading to the shores of Lake Skadar to discover this charming fishing village by boat. Considered the heart of Montenegro, it is the largest lake in the Balkan region that stretches over Montenegro and Albania.

Budva
Day 7: Bathe in the Waters of Budva
We hope after a comfortable night's sleep and delicious breakfast, you're ready for one final adventure.
You'll begin today with an excursion of the city. It has a charm distinct from that of Kotor that begs you to walk on the cobblestone to discover its monasteries, churches, restaurants, shops, and beaches.
After lunch, there's the option for a half-day excursion on the water to discover the secrets of the Budva coast with your local instructor, by kayak.
In the afternoon, you'll have free time to relax or to continue exploring the postcard-perfect Montenegrin city boasting buzzy beaches and romantic laneways.

Day 8: Say Farewell to Montenegro
This morning you’ll have some free time in Podgorica to spend it at your own pace and leisure, enjoying everything that this quaint city has to offer.
Depending on when your flight is, you may need to head straight to the airport.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end but we hope you have enjoyed your time exploring the very best that Montenegro has to offer. The rich natural beauty, storied history, and the people that make the country what it is.
