Just 15 km from Tulum lies the incredible Cenote Sac Actun. This is the largest underground cave system in the world and well worth a visit. A freshwater river winds its way through over 200 caverns and it's possible to bathe or snorkel in the pools. Guided tours are available (you'll need to book and pay for these independently).
