Day 1: Bem-Vindo

Bem-Vindo to Brazil! After your transfer from the airport, spend some time settling into your hotel or taking a walk along Rio De Janeiro’s famous Copacabana beach. You have today at leisure to spend however you wish, whether that be trying out some of the local cuisine or spotting Rio’s iconic sights as you take a stroll around the city.

Day 2: Time to see a Wonder of the World

There is no better way to begin your trip than with a visit to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Christ the Redeemer. Marvel at the magnificence of this impressive statue that watches over the beautiful city of Rio and gaze out over its dramatic forested mountains and glistening bay.

 

After this your guide will take you to the famous Maracanã Stadium where you can learn all about Brazil’s deep love for football, before heading on to the Sambadrome to experience another of Brazil’s great passions, Samba and Carnival!  

 

Following on from this visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, famous for its Mayan architectural style of design, before carrying on to the colourful neighbourhood of Lapa where you can climb the intricately tiled Selarón Stairs.

 

Spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring more of this vibrant city.

Day 3: Unforgettable views over Rio

Today you will visit another of Rio’s highlights, Sugar Loaf Mountain. You will travel via cable car to reach the top of this iconic mountain where you will find breath taking 360 ° panoramic views of Rio.

 

After this your guide will show you around the thriving neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. Located in the heart of the city, this bohemian district showcases a creative side to Rio. Wander through the winding streets full of modern galleries, bustling restaurants, and local bars.

 

After an afternoon at leisure, your guide will pick you up in this evening and take you to the famous churrascaria Carretão do Lido to enjoy a typical Brazilian dinner. Following this you will be taken to a Ginga Tropical Show, a popular Brazilian dance show that showcases a variety of Brazilian dances.

Day 4: Explore Rio's Botanical Garden

This morning your guide will take you to the lush Tijuca Forest National Park, the world’s largest urban rainforest.

Home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife you might spot some monkeys, sloths, or tropical birds as you wander through this impressive park. You will visit the Chinese viewpoint which offers spectacular views over Copacabana, Ipanema and Sugar Loaf Mountain. After visiting Taunay Waterfall and the beautiful Mayrink Chapel, your guide will take you to Rio’s Botanical Garden. Covering an area of around 140 hectares, the botanical garden is home to around 6500 species of plant. Here you will find orchidariums, rose gardens, and a lake filled with giant aquatic plants, such as the largest water lily in the Amazon, Vitória Regia.
