Tag 1: Welcome to Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Your tour starts at the airport where you will be picked up by a representative who will accompany you to your hotel for check-in and a free welcome drink. There you will meet your Tour Leader and learn more about your itinerary. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy your day in Cairo!

Cairo - Giza
Tag 2: Full day tour to Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara & Memphis
After a first breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. You will also visit the famous Sphinx and the Valley Temple facing the great statue. Additionally, you can opt to visit the Solar Boat in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra ticket can be purchased on the spot).
The lunch is included in your tour and after the break you will proceed to Sakkara to visit Sakkara Complex and the first pyramid ever built, Djoser Pyramid. Afterwards you will journey on to Memphis, the Old Kingdom's capital with its famous Necropolis.

Cairo
Tag 3: Full day tour: Museums, Citadel, Old Cairo & Bazaars
Today you will get the chance to see more of Cairo! Your private guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to visit the Egyptian Museum with the treasure room for the child king Tutankhamen alongside many other fascinating artifacts. You can also opt to visit the mummies room at the museum (requires purchase of an extra ticket on the spot).
For lunch you will make a brief stop at a local restaurant and then continue your city tour to visit Saladin Citadel with the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. That's not all there is to Cairo as you will see in the Coptic part of the town with the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Another part of Cairo will unfold as you explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar.

Cairo - Luxor
Tag 4: Flight from Cairo to Luxor
This morning you will check out from your hotel and leave Cairo to fly to Luxor where you will start your Nile Cruise Tour.
Your guide will accompany you to the airport and then, once landed in Luxor, you will be met by another representative and transferred to the river harbor. You will travel in an air-conditioned car and get the first glimpse of the landscape surrounding the Nile.
After lunch on board, you will enjoy a visit to the impressive Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple. Later on, you will return to the cruise ship for dinner and the first night on board.

Luxor - Edfu
Tag 5: A first day on the Nile
You have spent the first night on the Nile and while you have breakfast you will enjoy the view of the water. Today an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs and Valley of the Kings awaits you.
Next, you will travel on to visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut in the 15th century BC, as well as the Colossi of Memnon.
You will return to the cruise ship for lunch and sail to Edfu while enjoying a leisurely dinner on board.

Edfu - Kom Ombo
Tag 6: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast on the Nile Cruise ship you will visit the well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus at Edfu.
Afterwards, you will continue your journey sailing to Kom Ombo to see the unique Temple of Sobek, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile God and Horus the falcon-headed God.
After the excursion you will meet again on board and have lunch with a view of the approaching Aswan. As the previous night you will stay on board and enjoy dinner while sailing on the Nile.

Aswan
Tag 7: Sightseeing in Aswan
Today is all about sightseeing in Aswan.
You will start your visit with the High Dam and the largest known ancient obelisk called Unfinished Obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt.
Next you will continue on to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor and return to your ship in time for dinner.

Aswan - Sharm El Sheikh
Tag 8: Welcome to the Red Sea
After four days sailing the Nile from Luxor you have arrived to Aswan. It is time to disembark - but first enjoy your last breakfast! From Aswan you will fly to Sharm El Sheikh, where a completely new landscape awaits you.

Tag 9: Beach days
You have the day to spend as you wish: Relaxing on the beaches of the Red Sea with optional diving and snorkeling activities.

Tag 10: Second day of relaxation
Another day of sun-tanning, beach volley ball and reading in the shade awaits you! Head out to enjoy the Red Sea!

Tag 11: Beach activities like snorkeling or scuba diving
Good morning! Today is your last full day to enjoy the Red Sea before it is time to head back to Cairo. Enjoy the calmness, either on the beach or under water when trying out snorkeling and scuba diving activities!

Sharm El Sheikh - Cairo
Tag 12: Flight back to Cairo
It is time to leave paradise. You will be picked up after breakfast in your hotel and transferred to Sharm El Sheikh airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival you will be welcomed again by your tour leader and brought to your hotel.

Cairo - Alexandria
Tag 13: Drive to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Sea
Today is all about the Mediterranean Sea: In the morning you will drive to Alexandria which will take you about three hours. In Alexandria you will visit Pompay's Pillar and continue the journey to the Catacombs. These make up the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Visit the library and the Citadel of Qaitbay to learn more.
Today you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria before you check-in to your new hotel here.

Alexandria - Alamein - Cairo
Tag 14: Visit to WW II Battle Field (El Alamein)
You will wake up in Alexandria, enjoy a good breakfast in your hotel and then learn about the history around World War II in Egypt.
At the Military Museum, you will see displays of weapons, military garb and tanks and learn about the actions of Montgomery, Rommel and other participants.
After lunch you will continue to visit the WW II Cemeteries, located on the Western end of the town, on a small peninsula overlooking the sea. The citadel like cemetery is the final resting place for soldiers from the Commonwealth, Greece, Italy and Germany.
In the afternoon you will drive back to your hotel in Cairo.

Tag 15: It's time to say goodbye
After two weeks spent in Egypt - visiting Cairo, learning about the different eras in history and relaxing on the beautiful beaches of the Red Sea - this trip has come to an end. According to your flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport. We hope you enjoyed your stay and will come back soon!
