After a refreshing night’s sleep in the heart of the Lake District, you’ll discover the wild and stunning nature of the dense Chilean Rainforests as we hike through Huerquehue National Park.

The park is filled with lagoons of glacier origin, cuihues (a bamboo-like plant), mañio trees, majestic Araucarias and a vast array of native flora and fauna. There’s a good reason why this is one of the most visited National Parks in all of Chile.

In the winter we can enjoy frozen lakes, in the summer we’ll dive into the crystal-clear waters.

After a tiring day of hiking, try some of the regional dishes in town. Pucon offers a wide variety of traditional and not-so-traditional cuisine for you to sample the South.

On this half-day excursion, we invite you to learn about their customs, cosmo-vision, how it has adapted over time, and how nature and land are perceived. They will give you a warm welcome and introduction to their culture with typical drinks and snacks that have not been lost to time.

Here, you’ll experience the history and essence of one of the most unchanged cultures on the planet.

Tag 5: Explore the Island of Chiloe

All aboard! Today we’re taking a private tour across the Chacao Channel to explore the mysterious island of Chiloe. During the sailing, we might see sea lions, pelicans, and aquatic native birds. Once we set foot on the island, we’ll head towards the city of Ancud. Here, we’ll find San Antonio Fort, a historic place located in the highest part of the city.

We’ll continue our trip to Dalcahue. This city borders the coast, where you’ll be able to find the traditional gastronomy in their market. This market is specific to the region, the style is called Palafito, because it`s built over the water on stilts. We’ll also visit their local church that is a colorful relic of the juristic missionaries.

At last, we continue our trip to Castro, the capital of Chiloe Island. We’ll have some time to take pictures at Manuel Montt Palafitos and then visit the San Francisco Church in front of the main square.

Tag 6: Taste the wonders of Chiloe's Cusine

On day 6, you’ll discover the hidden treasure that is Chiloe cuisine.

For over 200 years the island was completely isolated from the continent, which meant that there is an extremely interesting fusion between the Spanish and indigenous culture of the area. This fusion, along with fresh seafood, creates some of the best cuisines if Chile.

At a time that you decide, you will go with one of our chefs in search of local products that we are going to use to prepare your lunch. We’ll discover the freshest sea and land products such as crab, mussels, clams, razor clams, and sea urchins. Some of the seasonal fish include eel, mackerel, hake, and salmon.

From the earth, we’ll gather lamb, pork or chicken, with cheese, native colorful potatoes, free-range eggs, and good vegetables from a special garden. We’ll pair our excursion with local beers, different wine choices, seasonings and spices.
