Tag 1: Bienvenidos a Bolivia!

Welcome to beautiful Bolivia! Upon arrival at El Alto Airport, a Trip.Me representative will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel in La Paz. Check into your hotel and rest before you head out for your afternoon excursion. Then, it's off into the city to explore its historical center. Start at the Plaza San Francisco, the main square of La Paz. From there, wander up Sagarnaga street, and browse through the local handicrafts before making a stop at the "Mercado de las Brujas", or Witches Market. Here, you can find all sorts of materials for the local ceremonial offering to "Pachamama", or "Mother Earth", such as coca leaves, medicinal plants, and more. Stop by the markets of San Pedro before you make your last stop at the heart of La Paz at Plaza Murillo. The capital of Bolivia since 1899, the Plaza is home to the Presidential Palace and the National Congress.

Tag 2: Enjoy Tranquility in the Valley of the Moon

After breakfast, hop into your private car and take a tour outside the city. Enjoy stunning views out the windows of the Andes mountains along the way. La Paz, the highest capital in the world, lies in the shadow of the imposing Illimani, who supposedly protects the city. Head to the K'Illi K'Illi mirador and the Laykakota Park, where you can take in spectacular panoramic views of the city. Then, head south through the "Zona Sur" and leave the city behind for the unforgettable Moon Valley. Walk among the lunar rock formations and the geological wonder while you enjoy the tranquility of the area. Then, head back to the city to spend the rest of the afternoon strolling through the colorful markets of La Paz before retiring to your hotel room.

Tag 3: Discover the White City

In the morning, your private driver will be waiting to pick you up and take you back to the airport. Hop on your domestic flight to Sucre, the next destination of your journey through Bolivia. When you land, your driver will escort you to your hotel. Spend the day exploring Sucre, an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most intriguing destinations in the country. Nicknamed the "White City", Sucre is famous for its astounding colonial architecture. Begin with a visit to the Convento de la Recoleta, a Franciscan monastery built in 1601. Your next stop is to the Museum of Indigenous Art, where you can learn about Bolivian culture and history before heading to the Casa de la Liberdad, where the Bolivian Act of Independence was signed in 1825. Finally, pay a visit to the Monastery of San Felipe Nery, where you can take in breathtaking views of Sucre from its terraces.

Tag 4: Get in Touch with Bolivia's History

Wake up and enjoy your breakfast. Then, depart via private vehicle for further exploration of Sucre. Cross the Rio Pilcomayo via the Sucre Bridge, famous for its design. Continue your drive through the picturesque Chuquisaca Valley and ascend the Potosi Plateau. In the afternoon, visit the stunning and historically important Casa de la Moneda. Until the 19th century, the coins of the powerful Spanish crown were minted at this location - one of the reasons that Sucre is an UNESCO site today. Visit the wonderful and informative history museum that is housed in the building today. In the late afternoon, head back to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Tag 5: Enjoy the Beautiful Landscapes of Bolivia!

Start your day with a refreshing breakfast. Check out of your hotel in the morning before heading out for another exciting day. Get out of the city and start towards "Rich Hill" one of the most famous mining locations in the country. Visit a mine at Cerro Rico and watch the miners at work, which can be a moving experience. Learn about the industry as you observe the harsh conditions of the workers. Afterwards, continue your journey across the gorgeous Frailes Mountain range. In the late afternoon, reach the small town of Uyuni on the outskirts of Bolivia's famous Salt Flats. Check into your hotel and relax after a long day of travel.

Tag 6: Traverse the Uyuni Salt Flats

Wake up and enjoy a delightful breakfast. Then, it's off to explore one of Boliva's most spectacular wonders - the Uyuni Slat Flats. The world's largest salt desert is a unique and fascinating landscape, which you can cross by private jeep. Stop at the village of Colchani to visit a salt hotel and salt excavations. Traverse the Salar until you reach the Island of Incahausi around midday. Enjoy incredible views of the flats and the surrounding volcanoes from the island, as well as the giant cacti that grow in this oasis. As you make your way back to Uyuni in the afternoon, stop at the desolate train cemetery. Then, get ready for your flight back to La Paz. Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our representatives and escorted to your hotel. Use the rest of the evening to explore around the hotel or grab some last-minute souvenirs.

Tag 7: Time to Say Goodbye

Savor your breakfast and pack your bags. It's time for your experience in Bolivia to come to an end. At the appropriate time you will be transfered to the airport for your onward flight. Say goodbye to Bolivia and come visit again soon!
