On this seven day trip you will discover all the different sights of Krakow, visit historic places such as the Jewish district or former Oscar Schindler’s Factory and spend an adventurous day in Zakopane.

Tag 2: Explore Krakow!

Rise and shine! Your guide will take you on a fascinating city tour that combines exploring the beauty and charm of Krakow's two greatest areas - the Old Town and the former Kazimierz Jewish District. Stroll around the charming streets and alley ways and admire their beauty while you learn about the history of the place. 

Enter the town through the medieval St Florian’s Gate - the same that Polish kings passed through. Standing in the largest Main Square, with a centrally located Cloth Hall and the majestic St Mary’s Church, you will be listening to the famous Krakow trumpet call, played from its higher tower. Walking down the former Royal Route you will reach the Wawel Hill - a dignified former residence of Polish kings with the Royal Castle and Cathedral.

Continue to the district of Kazimierz that for hundreds of years was inhabited by Jews. Visit the synagogues and the awesome main square.

Tag 3: Poland and WW II

Today is all about learning more about the history of WW II. 

Visit the former Oscar Schindler’s Factory. The museum established in the original factory’s administrative building is devoted to the history of World War II in Krakow. A touching multimedia exhibition ‘Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939-1945’ presents the wartime history in a very modern and accessible manner. 

After visiting the Schindler’s Factory your personal driver will take you to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum - a site that has become a symbol of terror and holocaust, being the largest of all German Nazi concentration camps. After a two hours guided tour at Auschwitz I and a short break you will be taken to Auschwitz II-Birkenau where you will continue your guided visit for about another hour. 

After a whole day tour which showed you the atrocities of WW II, you'll get back to your hotel for a much-needed rest.

Tag 4: Krakow - off the beaten track

While there are always crowds of visitors in the Krakow Old Town, not too many tourists have even heard about the fantastic sites you will be taken to today… What a loss for them and how lucky you are!

Pay a visit to the famous Kosciuszko Mound which offers a marvelous view of the whole city and the remains of old fortress from the 19th century. Apart from being a perfect viewpoint, the mound is a very significant historical site. It was constructed to the memory of Poland’s national hero - Tadeusz Kosciuszko.

Explore the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, picturesquely located on the hill overlooking the Vistula river. Listen to the stories and legends, hidden behind the Abbey’s walls. 

In the evening enjoy a Chopin concert in one of Krakow's palaces, followed by a dinner in a traditional Polish restaurant. Open you senses and immerse yourself into the magic of Chopin's music!

Tag 5: Adventure day in Zakopane

Are you ready for a real adventure? Spend an exciting day in Zakopane - the most famous mountain resort in Poland, located at the foot of the Tatra mountains. You will also explore the beauty of the Dunajec River Gorge. Experience an unforgettable 2-hours of leisure rafting on a traditional, wooden raft among the towering cliffs and the limestone rock formations in the breathtaking Pieniny Mountains.

En route you will visit a charming UNESCO List inscribed wooden church in Debno which is considered a landmark of Poland.

Admire the beauty of Zakopane which attracts tourists with a splendid nature, rich folklore and original culture. you will also have some free time for lunch at a traditional restaurant and shopping at a typical Highlander market.

After a day full of excitement you will be taken back to your hotel where you can rest in full comfort.

Tag 6: Explore the nature wonders of Poland!

Today you will be taken to the real world of natural wonders! Only 40 minute drive from the Krakow Main Square and you are in the heart of nature. Explore Ojcow National Park - the smallest national park in Poland.

Admire the hills, covered with forests, the caves, the unusual limestone cliffs, the ravines and the rock formations of fantastic shapes. You will be exploring this charming area walking down the picturesque Pradnik River Valley. Only here you can also see the church that was built ... on the water!

You will also see the very well-preserved Renaissance Castle of Pieskowa Skala, situated in the forests on a hill overlooking the valley.

After a break for lunch your tour will continue to the Salt Mine in Wieliczka. The Salt Mine continuously produced kitchen salt from the 13th century until 1996, being one of the world’s oldest operating salt mines. Explore its corridors and paths!

Tag 7: In the Footsteps of John Paul II

Today you will take part in a tour which follows the footsteps of Pope John Paul II. 

The tour begins with a visit to Wadowice, the home town of Karol Wojtyla. There you will visit the house where he was born and the parish church where he was baptised and went to pray.

The next stop of the tour is a visit to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a town boasting one of the largest European Calvary sanctuary. It is also listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place was among the favourite destinations of John Paul II.

On your way back to Krakow you will visit another site which was very important to John Paul II - the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki. There is a chapel with the miraculous Jesus, I trust in you painting and relics of Saint Sister Faustina, an apostle of Divine Mercy canonized by Pope John Paul II.

Once you get back to Krakow, you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight.
