Excellent organising by Poly

Polys organisations skills were very good and she kept us updated every step of the way. There were 2 issues that caused us consternation and both not the fault of the company's. LATAM airlines had cancelled a flight without informing anyone and we only learned about this when we got to the airport at 2 AM!! At this time we managed to contact Poly who ensured the Amazon trip was altered for a later start time. The second was regarding the state of our room in Salvador. Again Poly offered us alternative accommodation but we decided to stick with the room. Overall very happy with the Guides both at the Amazon and the Pantanal and apart from Salvador all other accommodation was good / excellent. Thank you and especially Poly for making this trip successful

What was good about our local partner based in Brazil?

Poly is amazing. She is easily connectable and is able to tailor make the holiday to our needs and whatever questions we had she always answers them promptly.

What could our local partner based in Brazil improve on?

I think with Pantanal perhaps offering a split between Port Joffre and Pocone might offer better experience without increasing the price too much.

What did you think about the guides or drivers on your trip?

Both Karen at the Pantanal and Elso are amazing guides with in depth knowledge and passion for the environment. Their English was excellent and they went the extra mile to ensure our needs were met. All the drivers were punctual and courteous

What advice would you give to other travellers planning a trip to Brazil?

Really enjoyed all the places we went except Salvador where both the weather and our accommodation ruined the trip. The tour company was first rate for Amazon experience and our 2 days was woefully short. You need to have at least 3 full days. The Posada Piuval is an excellent base for Pocone with a great range of birds right next to the lodge. However during the dry season there are no large water sources close by making boat trips really difficult. To enjoy the Pantanal we would have liked to have more exposure to some water based activities and perhaps splitting with accommodation closer to a river would be ideal. For Iguazu 1 full day in Argentina and half day at Brazil is sufficient

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

1. Seeing the might of Iguazu Falls up close at Argentine side 2. Boat tours on the Amazon Green Tours and Cayman hunting
