Addu Explorer

This is a tropical adventure for travelers keen to explore the undiscovered side of the Maldives. Compared to other atolls, Addu (Seenu atoll) has been a relatively unexplored, untouched Atoll of the Maldives. It lies in the southernmost tip of the Maldives and is home to the most diverse natural habitats in the country. With its large islands, unique geography, flourishing population, and long history and culture, Addu has become a must-visit place. Cycle along coral sand roads and experience Maldivian villages & their cuisines, seek out deserted beaches of soft white sand or explore tropical jungles and mangroves – Addu offers a distinctive experience. During the Second World War Addu was the base for the British Royal Navy considering the advantage of the deep anchorage and sheltered natural harbour. Oil tanks and storage facilities were built on Gan Island, together with an airstrip and a flying boat base. The island is now the site of Gan International Airport. Still, there are some ruins and monuments you can explore during this adventure.
