You will spend the first five nights in Umbria, the green heart of Italy, a land of small towns and villages that preserve traces of their Etruscan and medieval origins. For the last two nights you will move to the Marche where you will relax in a beautiful country house just a few kilometres from the coast. This is a self-drive itinerary created for those who love to travel freely, visiting a lesser-explored Italy at a slow pace and enjoying every minute. Your time will be spent exploring local culture, food and drink, and then finishing with a couple of days by the swimming pool if you choose.

Winter in the more southerly regions of Italy is still a pleasant time to visit, while winter in the far north of the country is cold and wet. Summer in the mountains of the north can also be very pleasant and not too hot.
